Private Site Status
Hyde County Released Inmates is privately operated. It is not affiliated with Hyde County, the Sheriff’s Office, NCDAC, a court, a jail, or any federal or state agency. It cannot release a person, confirm an official status, alter a record, give legal advice, or speak for a government custodian.
Government Records and North Carolina Law
Official public-record access is controlled by the office holding the material and applicable law, including the North Carolina Public Records Act, Chapter 132. This site does not expand a right of access, override an exemption, or require an agency to create a record that does not exist.
Outside Services

North Carolina Governing Law
North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.
Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
